Improving your Deliverability

What is email deliverability?

Email deliverability is the ability to deliver emails to your customers and prospective clients’ inboxes. Most times email deliverability helps understand how well the e-commerce store will do. it also helps understand the changes a company might want to make in terms of its email marketing strategy. There are many factors that affect the deliverability of an email. some of them are listed down below.

What are the factors that affect it?

  1. Bounce– A bounce is when an email is unable to be delivered to an email server. There are two kinds of bounces, hard and soft. Hard bounces are when the email is consistently being bounced. This usually happens when the mailbox of the customer doesn’t exist. Soft bounces are when there is a minor failure, in the sense that if a customer’s inbox is full, the email will not be able to go through.
  2. Complaints– This is when the customer marks your email as spam. This reduces the number of times that the customer will open your email.
  3. Verification and Authentification- This is an important step as it helps your email provider determine whether your emails, are spam or not. Verification and authentification of your ownership of the account through which the email is being sent, becomes vital. It also helps increase the deliverability of your emails.
  4. Limits-  Sometimes, email providers, have quotas and limits on the number of emails that you can send in a certain period of time. This helps them determine which accounts are spam, and which ones are not.
  5. IP Address reputation- The reputation of the IP address through which your email is being sent, is very important. if the IP address has sent many spam emails before, it could be classified under the spam folder constantly. Excessive bounces and complaints act against your emails and therefore might also make your revenue through email marketing fall consistently.

How does Emailwish help?

Emailwish has a system where many of the factors are being monitored. Like preventing emails with lists in them being sent out. This helps keep Emails away from the spam folder. Emailwish also maintains a good IP address so that you never have to experience your emails being sent away into spam so this shouldn’t be a worry. We also verify email ids in order to help you avoid bounces.

The templates that are provided by Emailwish do not contain much HTML content. This also helps in maintaining a very low presence of your emails in the spam folder.
